Support the Community's Plan for the Midway Property

Knox County Mayor Tim Burchett is seeking input from the public on what to do with the Midway Road property. This is our opportunity to not just voice our concerns about the project, but to provide a sensible way to move forward that will be a win-win for Knox County.

Be sure to thank Mayor Burchett for providing this opportunity, and also thank County Commission for giving the community a chance to present an alternative.

Tell Mayor Burchett you support the community's plan and don't want a business park at Midway Road.

Request County Commission to send the East County Sector Plan back to MPC asking them to change the Midway Road portion of the Plan back to the 2000 version.

Ask the Mayor to appoint a task force to work on fleshing out the plan details and to explore opportunities for the property.

Know someone who opposes the business park at Midway but doesn't have internet access? Make sure they give their input at one of the upcoming community meetings, from 4:30 to 7:00 pm on November 16th at Carter High School and November 18th at West High School.
